More About The Valerie Fund
The Valerie Fund is a not-for-profit organization established in 1976 by parents Ed and Sue Goldstein, in memory of their nine-year-old daughter, Valerie Goldstein, who lost her battle to cancer. With seven Valerie Fund Children's Centers for Cancer and Blood Disorders located in major hospitals located in New Jersey, New York, and Philadelphia. These centers provide caring, comprehensive care to more than 4,000 children and their families each year. This network of hospitals allow sick children to receive the care they need close to home.
The philosophy of The Valerie Fund is:
"to truly heal the children with whose care we are entrusted, we must treat them emotionally, socially, and developmentally, as well as medically."
