Subaru is a company that believes in helping make the world a better place - that's why Subaru builds fuel-efficient vehicles in our eco-friendly facilities. It is also Subaru's belief that have led them to create the "Subaru Love Promise" pledge. The Subaru Love Promise is a pledge to do the right thing by the communities in which we live and work. Over the past 20 years, Subaru has donated more than 50 million dollars to over 30 different charities and organizations that share Subaru's values. And our employees have logged more than 28,000 volunteer hours. The Subaru Love Promise is a pledge to continue to make a positive impact in our neighborhoods and the world around us.
Causes
Subaru's goal is to spread the Love Promise as far as possible, so to help achieve this Subaru proudly works with over 30 different charities and organizations, many of which fall under five areas of focus;
Animals, Environment, Education, Community and Health.
Who Do We Support?
Animals. Subaru has partnered with the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ASPCA) since 2008, and has donated close to $12 million to the ASPCA, as well as supporting over 1,200 pet adoption events, resulting in more than 10,000 adoptions to date.
Subaru used the money donated from its 2008-2009 Subaru "Share The Love" event to support the National Wildlife Federation and its efforts to protect wildlife and habitat while inspiring the future generation of conservationists.
Health. Since partnering with the Make-A-Wish Foundation in 2011, Subaru has donated more than $4.5 million dollars, helping to grant 610 wishes in the U.S. Also in 2011, Subaru partnered with the world's largest sports organization for people with intellectual disabilities – Special Olympics. Subaru raised $613,536 during their 2011 Subaru "Share the Love" event, of which was donated to the Special Olympics in support of their organization.
